Relocation of sprinkler heads in residential suites

This memorandum is in response to residents directly contacting Bartec Fire Safety System. Beyond scheduling, they are seeking assurance on two fronts:
1. That work scheduled for their suite will be compliant with municipal fire safety codes
2. And to determine who is liable should there be any complications from such relocation
Bartec Fire Safety Systems technicians are trained to relocate sprinkler heads in accordance with all current codes. However, all work is based on engineered drawings provided by a qualified sprinkler engineer, approved by the authority having jurisdiction. It is the responsibility of the strata council to guarantee that all fire and life safety codes are maintained when an owner makes any structural changes that affect the efficacy of sprinkler heads.
